News Anchor Breaks Down When She Reunites With A Boy From An Old Story

Get out the tissues because this is one of the most heartwarming stories I have ever heard of. It really goes to show what can happen when someone with a big heart and a little persistence never gives up.

News anchor Gloria Campos of WFAA in Plano, TX met a young boy stuck in the foster care system.

Ke'onte Cook was just seven years old but Campos knew there was something special about him.

He was caring, smart, and articulate — all he needed was a loving home that could nurture that. So, Campos did a story about Ke'onte, hoping that it would bring him closer to finding a family out there.

There are wonderful children out there who are just dying to feel familial closeness, such as a 19-year-old orphan recently posted a Craigslist ad to rent a family.

Campos didn't want Ke'onte to feel that same emptiness and she thought she had found him a good family, but unfortunately, the adoption fell through.

Two years later, she featured Ke'onte again. Campos was determined to find a home for such a smart young man, who even spoke in front of Congress on the mistreatment he experienced in the foster care system.

That was seven years ago. In this video you'll see what happened to Ke'onte after Campos' plea.

Ke'onte is now 14, and when you see this incredible reunion, you won't doubt that there are some fine people out there.
