Police officers across the country have been going viral for the unlikeliest of reasons. A group of officers from Gainesville, Florida, made headlines simply for being attractive! Not to be outdone, some of the members of the Lincoln Police Department in California decided to join in on the fun of officers of the law doing unexpected things, and they did it by taking advantage of the latest phenomenon sweeping the nation: the new It movie!
For those who haven't seen the film (or the TV mini series from 1990), It is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Stephen King.
The story centers on a group of friends that is tormented by an ancient evil taking the form of a clown named Pennywise.
One of the most iconic scenes is when Pennywise lures a little boy into a sewer with the promise of all kinds of goodies.
With the release of the new It movie, a viral campaign began on Twitter in which a question was posed: What would it take for you to join Pennywise in the sewer?

These are just a few members of California's Lincoln Police Department, and as much as they are committed to their sworn duty, every once in a while they enjoy a bit of fun, too.
They're also always willing to take part in their community, even with the youngest members!
Recently, members of the Lincoln PD wanted to create something memorable for their followers on Facebook, so they decided to put their spin on the It movie craze.
The It remake has received a lot of acclaim. Plus, a viral campaign began on Twitter in which people asked the question, "What would Pennywise have to say to get you to go down with him?"
The answers ranged in variety, but a lot of them were truly funny, like this user who said that he'd jump right in if Pennywise the clown secretly had next year's season of Game of Thrones down there!
Another commenter said that if Pennywise offered her love and support, she'd jump right in!
But what would it take for officers of the law to join the clown down in the depths?
Here's a hint: it would probably take something sweet.
