What's the coolest thing your grandma's ever done?
Well, for 29-year-old Shannon Weikle, the list of amazing things her grandma has done is too long to even write down. Shannon's grandmother, Gladys (or "Grams," as they call her), has never let her age get in the way of doing the things she loves — in fact, she's only gotten more daring and bold as she's gotten older!
Every year, the family gets together and does something special for Grams' birthday, but as you can imagine, Grams' idea of a fun birthday is not what most other grandmas have in mind. For Grams' 95th birthday, she and Shannon got matching tattoos, and Grams has even hinted at a skydiving trip for her 100th.
For Grams' 98th birthday celebration, Shannon decided to plan a memorable photo shoot with the help of her friend Cara Lynn McGilvrey. Of course, Grams' photo shoot was anything but ordinary, and you can see blue-haired Grams having a great time sipping champagne through a straw in the shoot.

Grandma Gladys, or "Grams" as she's affectionately known, is anything but boring. So naturally, the photo shoot for her 98th birthday was anything but boring, too.
"This is just beautiful… what a beautiful lady she must be," one person commented about Grams' photos on Facebook.
Of course, Grams' birthday celebration involved a little champagne. After all, a 98th birthday is quite the milestone!
No party is complete without a little champagne!
Of course, a delicious cake helps, too!
"[Gladys] is exactly who I want to be when I grow up," photographer Cara Lynn said. "We should all aspire to be more like Gladys: young at heart!"
"It's really hard for me to understand why anyone would be so excited about a little old lady who had fun one day with her granddaughter," Gladys told BuzzFeed News about the success of the photo shoot.
"I think to get through life you just have to be easy," Gladys said. "Enjoy it! You're not going to get a second one."
After so many birthdays, 98 didn't feel like much to Grams.
"I don't think much about it at all. It's a little shocking, I guess. It's just another birthday, and I've had quite a few!"
Happy 98th birthday, Gladys! Here's to many more!
