Hayley Roll and her boyfriend, Nick Kelble, were in love and decided to enjoy a romantic day at the Cincinnati Zoo together.
Little did Hayley know, Nick had a special surprise planned for her!
When the couple reached the tank of Fiona, the baby hippo, Nick dropped down on one knee and pulled out a ring to propose to Hayley. She was overjoyed and overwhelmed, but of course, she said yes!
Luckily, the moment was captured in photos, which Hayley posted on her Instagram. Looking back at the photos, Hayley spotted something unusual. She saw that the baby hippo was watching closely from her tank, looking mesmerized by the proposal in front of her.

This is Hayley Roll and Nick Kelble. A seemingly normal visit to the Cincinnati Zoo left the couple with a lifetime of memories — for multiple reasons.
Hayley and Nick made their way to the hippo enclosure. It was then that Nick dropped down on one knee to surprise Hayley and ask for her hand in marriage.
The moment was captured in photos, but the person behind the camera wasn't the only one watching intently.
Once Nick opened up his little white box to reveal a diamond ring to his love, a baby hippo named Fiona became instantly mesmerized by the situation.
As Hayley said "yes" and Nick placed the ring on her finger, the baby hippo couldn't look away.
Some might say she served as their witness!
The engagement was beautiful and when the couple looked back at the photos they took, they couldn't believe how closely they were being watched.
