A doctor named Joseph was excited about his first surgery on November 2, 2017, but things quickly took a turn for the worse when he got stuck in the hospital's elevator — all by himself.
Instead of completely freaking out, the doctor documented his time trapped in the elevator with a series of hilarious photos taken over the course of 60 minutes.
I remember getting stuck in an elevator between floors once, and it started shaking violently. Unlike Joseph, I completely lost my cool and started crying while pounding on the red help button.
Joseph uploaded 12 photos over the 60 minutes to poke fun at his situation, which included a few references to the movie Cast Away, where Tom Hanks is stuck alone on an island.

Even though he was only stuck for 10 minutes here, the doctor was already so over it!
Within 15 minutes, the doctor confessed he would have eaten someone if he hadn't been stuck all alone.
Joseph contemplating trying to get out of the elevator through the hospital's ceiling instead of waiting for help.
"Gonna chop off my arm with a pocket knife soon," the bored doctor joked 25 minutes in.
Almost a half hour in, Joseph named his laptop Wilson — just like Tom Hanks named his volleyball.
Since the doctor had no idea how long he'd be stuck, he resorted to marking the lunar and solar cycles to track his days.
After a whopping 37 minutes alone in the elevator, Joseph swore his beard had grown substantially.
Like many people who get stranded alone, Joseph started to get a little crazy!
Joseph joked that he even ate his computer.
By minute 50, the doctor joked that the fluorescent lights were becoming unbearable.
Luckily, the doctor was rescued from the elevator after 60 long minutes.
"Will I even remember how to speak? How to love?" he joked in the caption.
