Having celebrity parents may sound glamorous, but many famous offspring will also tell you that there's a dark side.
Brooke Hogan, daughter of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, has experienced some of the negative aspects of being in the spotlight.
Namely, Brooke has been a target of body shamers through the years. Growing up on the reality show Hogan Knows Best, which followed her family's life, made Brooke especially vulnerable.
Of course, the cruel words stung and made Brooke extremely insecure about herself and her body, according to People Now.
It's been a long road, but Brooke has come to terms with the haters and no longer lets them bother her.
She now works on her very own Amazon show, The Fashion Hero, where people of a range of body types compete to model for famous designers. The series has helped her to embrace a newfound body-positive mindset.
Moreover, Brooke has a lot to say to body shamers.

Brooke shared some very wise words in an interview with People Now that we can all learn from.
Says Brooke:
Being Hulk Hogan’s daughter, you definitely don’t come out 110 lbs. and petite. It’s always been that I’m muscular, I’m 5’10.
Brooke's insight helps her to relate to the contestants on her show, The Fashion Hero.
I’ve been called everything, so I personally connected to this mission, and I just think it’s so cool that we can start changing how people define beauty.
Because kids are literally killing themselves, or developing eating disorders, trying to fit into a box.
We’re not all mannequins. There’s no possible way that we could live up to that standard. So it was like a passion project for me.
There was a girl who kind of went through something similar that was on the show, her name was Stacy, and she was telling me that people would call her Mount Everest, because she was kind of a bigger, taller girl.
She just started crying, and I just instantly started feeling my 13-year-old self coming through, even though I was supposed to be mentoring these people.
If Brooke can overcome the negativity from being bullied — withstanding ugly comments claiming that her "jaw could crush rocks" or that, at her height, she "looks like a tranny" — then anyone can.
Make sure to catch Brooke and her body-positive message on The Fashion Hero on Amazon!
