This Pink Castle Birthday Cake Is Fit For A Princess

In this great video tutorial by Howdini, professional baker Liv Hansen for Betty Crocker Kitchens demonstrates how to make a beautiful castle-shaped cake fit for a princess, without the need for a special cake mold. Sure, the confectionary creation is spectacular, but it's also not that difficult to achieve in your own kitchen… it's true!

Whether it's a neon pink castle for a girly girl or a dark, villainous version for a boy, Liv takes you through the steps of whipping up the whimsical castle cake in less than six minutes. It’s incredible to watch her create the pink tiered castle using layers of vanilla cake, bright and colorful buttercream frosting, sanding sugar, and upside-down ice cream cones. You can even add adorable finishing touches to the cake, like wafer windows, a fudge-filled moat or toy dragons. "This looks so gorgeous, any little girl would love to have this at a birthday party!" Laurie says. I couldn't agree more.
