Easy, DIY Clothespin Scarf Hanger Is A Stylish Storage Solution

Spring is finally here, which means it's time to start cleaning, de-cluttering and organizing your home. For me, spring is the perfect time to clean out and reorganize my closet.

Over the weekend when I started cleaning, I found a bunch of beautiful scarves that had been stashed away. I knew there had to be a better way of organizing them. After a little research,  I found several tutorials for a DIY clothespin scarf organizer. It was the perfect storage solution.

Displaying the scarves out in the open would instantly add a pop of color to my bedroom and make a delightful decorative statement while opening up some much-needed storage space.

This organizer is so easy to make — and you don't need to be Martha Stewart to pull it off. All you need are clothespins, a piece of wood, glue, and a few other materials you probably have lying around the house.

Materials:

1. Paint the clothespins the color of your choice.

I chose white for the clothespins, but feel free to adjust the colors to your style, or just keep as is.

2. Pick a color for the wood base. I wanted to paint just the ends gray, so I applied painter's tape to make sure the lines would be straight.

3. Apply the paint.

When completed, let dry for approximately 10 minutes.

4. Apply wood glue to the back of each clothespin. Hold until it is completely dry.

Continue with the other clothespins until they're all glued.

5. Grab two eyelets. Hand-screw one eyelet into each side.

6. Using the frame wire, insert into one eyelet and tie into a knot. Wrap around and tie a knot on the second eyelet.

7. Place the organizer on a wall hook. Then, grab your scarves and clip onto each clothespin.
