Alford is up early because he lives in Chesterfield County, Virginia, but works nearly 3.5 hours away in Washington D.C. at The Department. The true family man has been commuting 220 miles Monday through Friday for over 10 years, when he landed his dream job. He's thought about moving his family, but they love their hometown so much, that the long commute is worth it. He is always tired, but he truly lives for the weekends and says that the time he gets to spend with his wife and children makes everything worth it.
