1958 Vintage Footage Features The Chordettes Perform Their Hit Song ‘Mr. Sandman’ Live

If you're like me, you can't get through a day without listening to music. Whether driving down the highway or running (more realistically, walking) on the treadmill, hearing your favorite tunes makes everything a little more bearable. From old-school classics to current hits, music is one of the best forms of self-expression, and it's never hard to find a song that you can relate to.

With that being said, however, none of the music we love today would be possible had it not been for the artists that came before. Sure, some people may think old-school music is boring, but that simply isn't the case.

After all, good music has the ability to not only inspire others, but withstand the test of time, and there's one song that has held up exceptionally well. Although you may have never heard of the Chordettes, there's a good chance that you've heard of their now classic song "Mr. Sandman."

Despite the fact that some of us weren't even thought of when the song was released in 1954, it has found its way into pop culture time and time again. This song may be simple, but all that means is that it'll have an easier time getting stuck in your head.

Check out the video to watch the legendary Chordettes put on a live performance of their 1954 hit, "Mr. Sandman." Can you name the man who says "yes?" in such a hilarious way at the 1:38 mark? Let us know in the comments below!
