"Good Day Atlanta" decided to celebrate National Cat Day by bringing on an adorable, adoptable kitty from the local humane society. But the news anchor got quite a surprise when the frisky kitty took an excited leap off the set during a 'Pet of The Day' segment. Whoops!
With Sarah from the Humane Society in studio, Mr. Meowgi was being entertained with a cat toy when he jumped up in the air and tumbled to the studio floor. Thankfully, the kitty was not injured, and he was able to finish his television debut. Guess he was really excited for National Cat Day! Once the anchor knew the energetic kitten was okay, she started laughing hysterically and could barely regain her composure.
This playful kitty sure knows how the steal the spotlight! For those interested in adopting Mr. Meowgi, you can contact the Humane Society of Cobb County for more information.
