You Can Now Buy Leggings For Your Dog, And Yes, They Look Absolutely Ridiculous And Hysterical

If you've had a rough week, do not fret. There are leggings for dogs now, and everything is going to be all right.

The leggings are called Walkee Paws, and you can officially purchase and then force your dog to wear them. The dog leggings (deggings?) are more than just the most hilarious canine clothing item around. They'll also keep your dog's paws safe from the elements, like snow or ice, and they'll protect your floor from dirty paw prints.

If you're trying to imagine how one could possibly put leggings ON A DOG, allow me to explain. The leggings slide onto each leg individually, and then you tie them together and attach them to the dog's collar to keep them up. See? Genius.

In comparison to booties, these dog leggings seem much easier to put on — and much harder for your dog to slip off. Human 1, pup 0.

Is it weird if I buy a pair of these even though I don't have a dog yet? Hmm…

Like it or not, dog leggings now exist! And while they are exactly as ridiculous and hilarious as they sound, they are also — hear me out — pretty practical.

Walkee Paws are currently available in four patterns. The first, most plain style is above. Then there's a "Confetti" style, in case your dog is a Party Dog.

And a houndstooth-patterned "Classic" style for dignified dogs who, I don't know, drink tea.

Then there's the "Camo" style for dogs who need to take their squirrel-chasing to the next level.

Each style is equipped with rubber-soled booties to protect your pup's paws from rain, snow, hot pavement, allergens, salt, and other irritants.

The leggings are stretchy, and they slide easily onto each individual doggo leg. Then each legging tube ties together at the top.

The leggings attach to your dog's collar, so they'll stay up as long as you need 'em to. For long walks, or amusing photo shoots.

And you can slide them off afterward so your dog won't track a mess into your house. They're waterproof and washable.

Walkee Paws was founded by Lisa Baronoff, a dog owner and entrepreneur in New York City. She took inspiration from her cocker spaniel, Toffee.

"I cut a pair of my old pantyhose into little leggings, made to connect over Toffee's back so the pantyhose stayed in place," Lisa explains on the Walkee Paws website.

"The pantyhose acted like a sling, making the whole experience easy and comfortable for Toffee and they stayed on! From here, the idea for Walkee Paws was born."

After much trial and error, Lisa and her team came up with the bootie-pantyhose-combo they were looking for.

The leggings are now available in three sizes — small, medium, and large.

They range in price from $19.99 to $29.99, which is within the price range for a pair of human leggings.

Except these are way, WAY funnier.

Your dog may or may not agree.
