If you ever find yourself sitting on Ellen's famous stage, you can probably count on receiving a surprise or two from the funny lady. I'm not just talking about the famous faces she always gets a kick out of shocking with a silly gag, but the fans she invites to sit by her side. Her warm heart is one of the many reasons Ellen is so beloved, and of course her dance moves don't hurt either!
When she met 4-year-old Emma Rester from El Paso, TX, earlier this year, the tyke showed off her incredible gymnastic skills. Despite her young age, Emma is a natural when it comes to learning the flips, twists, and stretches. With her mom Annie by her side, you can tell this family has a lot of pride for their little girl. This time, Ellen invites the cutie to her studio to surprise her with an unforgettable birthday present.
Wearing a beautiful flower dress, Emma cuddles with her toy cat and shows how it carries a sweet message from her military dad. Having been deployed across the globe in Korea, Emma was obviously sad her daddy couldn't make it for her birthday party, but was happy to see him over FaceTime, at least. After playing the recording for Ellen, however, the host reveals a secret has been hiding backstage: Emma's dad!
