Cops Refuse To Kick Kids Off Vacant Property And Join Their Soccer Game Instead

Police officers often insist that their jobs aren't just about enforcing the law, but that it's also about doing good deeds. Many cops go above and beyond trying to help others in need in ways big and small. Check out this officer who was kind enough to buy a homeless man a new pair of sneakers, or this cop who not only bought lunch for another homeless man, but also sat to eat with him!

So when Officer Jordan Burke received not just one, but several calls, about kids trespassing, he investigated further. The children of the Birmingham community, who are between the ages of 6 and 10, were playing soccer on a local tractor equipment company’s property. When Burke saw them, he realized that he couldn't tell them to leave — after all, he doesn't think that it is ethical to tell children to stop playing outside, and the nearest park is miles away.

Instead, he and his colleagues joined the children's soccer game.

The officers' actions have caught many people's attention, and Burke hopes that this will encourage people to donate equipment to the kids, and to encourage them to keep on playing and stay out of trouble.
