Cop Gives This Grandma An Unbelievable Surprise. Her Reaction? AMAZING!

Six months ago, Dorothy Shepard, a widow who lives alone, was shocked and nervous to see Officer John Holder standing at her front door. After she opened the door, he revealed that he had stopped by because he knew she needed someone to help her out. He told her that if she ever needed anything, call him. As it turns out, the next day, she needed a ride! He kindly obliged.

Since then, Officer Holder has taken her to various doctor's visits and grocery runs for the last six months, when he is off-duty. The officer didn't seek attention. He didn't even tell his superiors that he'd been helping Shepard all this time. He just felt like it was the right thing to do. Then on Black Friday, his kindness suddenly gained much attention when a shopper caught the pair picking up Shepard's thanksgiving meal and posted an image of them strolling the aisles with Holder pushing the cart. He even paid for her groceries! They posted images on the DeSoto Police Department's Facebook page, and it quickly went viral.

"I know police officers, but I never expected him to be that kind, and to go out of [his] way. He's just tremendous," Shepard said.
