It's safe to say we've seen just about everyone dancing to Silentó's 2015 hit "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)."
From police officers dancing to the song with local kids to brides incorporating the hit into their wedding dance, the hip hop song has certainly made its rounds.
Now an Arizona choir is taking it a step further. The young students at Desert Canyon Middle School performed their own version of the tune in a cappella. They also added a few dance moves into the mix.
"It's really important for me to touch on a wide variety of genres when I'm teaching my middle school students," choir director Andrea Squires told Fox 20 Phoenix.
Little did she know, however, that her unconventional idea would help her students gain national attention.
The unexpected version went viral after one of the choir members' siblings shared a clip of the performance on Twitter. It was shared more than 55,000 times and even got the attention of Silentó himself.
Not only did he comment on the video, writing "tell them I said thanks," he also shared it on his own social media pages.
What's even better? The attention has encouraged more students to join the choir next year.
