Zeus lived with a family who one day dropped him off at a local shelter. They said they didn't want a "defective" dog.
You see, Zeus was paralyzed, and obviously he wasn't loved. But that was all about to change…
If it wasn't for the heroes at St. Francis CARE in Murphysboro, Illinois, Zeus would have died right there at the high-kill shelter. In his new haven, Zeus was treated with nothing but love. They decided to treat him with hydrotherapy, and little by little, Zeus began to move on his own. He was recovering so well, in fact, that people on Facebook heard he needed a wheelchair and they all chipped in to buy him one!
Not even a few setbacks along the way stopped Zeus from keeping on, inspiring everyone around him. He never gave up, even in the face of so much adversity. He got up when he fell. He crawled if he had to. He's proof that miracles come true.
