When most girls dream of their wedding day, they picture the perfect dress, gorgeous flowers, a beautiful backdrop, and having loved ones by their side. For one stunning bride named Hannah, her special moment just wasn’t complete without her Marine brother, who was away on active duty.
With a heavy heart, Hannah realizes that the show must go on. Blessed with beautiful sunny weather, Hannah is surrounded by a lovely forest in the background. Her hair and make-up, and dress and veil are all just right. As she prepares to walk down the aisle, Hannah’s father gives her a huge reassuring hug.
But when she turns her around, she sees her brother in uniform standing before her.
Hannah is in complete shock and amazement. She instantaneously cries, and then smiles and laughs in disbelief as the two embrace each other.
“Oh my God, you’re here!” she says. Now, her incredible day is complete.
We’ve seen many picture-perfect wedding days, but it's ones like these that really tug at our heartstrings.
It’s also a reminder of when an active marine flew halfway around the world to surprise his sister on her wedding day, as well as when a paralyzed groom stood for his bride on their wedding day.
