It was just after her son's fourth birthday when Brandy Gonzalez got into a horrific car crash. They were driving home, and the roads were icy form a hailstorm.
Before they could realize what was happening, they were pinned inside their car after they crashed into an SUV. Both miraculously survived — it took paramedics to remove Brandy from the car. But it was her son's fate that truly hung in the balance…
When doctors saw him, they gave him a 1 percent survival rate. In fact, he wasn't even supposed to be alive: almost all individuals who suffer this kind of injury die, or become paralyzed. But it was all thanks to one Good Samaritan that little Killian even made it to the hospital alive.

Brandy and her son Killian were on their way back home just after his fourth birthday when they got into a horrific car crash.
It took paramedics over an hour to free her from the car. She sustained several broken bones, but is in recovery.
Killian, on the other hand, suffered internal decapitation. This means that his skull separated from his spinal cord.
In the vast majority of these cases, individuals either die or become paralyzed. He had a 1 percet chance of survival.
But thanks to a Good Samaritan who saw the accident on the road, the little boy can sit up, eat, and walk by himself. Leah Woodward and her police officer husband were some of the first on the scene, and the stranger held Killian's head perfectly still for over half an hour.
It just may be thanks to her that he is alive today. He is expected to make a full recovery!
Mom and her son are currently being treated at separate hospitals, but their spirits are high because they are alive, and will soon be reunited!
