Clothes, trinkets and figurines are transformed into completely different commodities because they can look past the objective and see a world of possibility like this one crafter did with an old dresser.
Master crafter Julee S possesses this ability in spades — so much so, in fact, that she was able to look at an old bed frame and see a bench!
Using a little carpentry and a lot of bright paint shades, she fashioned herself a garden bench that screams summer. Though the project seemed a bit ambitious, it's an ingenious repurposing of one piece of furniture into another.
The bright bench is perfect for the outdoors, supporting potting plants and gardening supplies while radiating beautiful warm hues.

To begin her stunning bench construction, Julee first found an old bed frame that still had its headboard and footboard.
These would later serve as the back and front components of the bench.
The footboard was flipped upside down to form the front of the bench.
Next, Julee worked on the two pieces of her particular frame to make a bench.
Next the newly made bench was primed and painted.
This allowed for colors to be painted on more vividly.
The last step was to paint the bench. Julee chose beautiful, bright warm tones punctuated with pops of blues, reds, and greens.
The final product is a fun, functional pop of color that is the perfect addition to any garden!
