For the fourth consecutive year, Signature HealthCARE has taken groups of retirement home residents on the vacations of their dreams. This year, they surprised the seniors with a magical trip to Walt Disney World. These residents prove that age is just a number, and everyone is truly just a kid at heart.
In the video, the residents are giddy upon learning they'll be taken on an all-expenses-paid dream vacation.
"I didn't know nursing homes did things like this," said one gentleman in the video. "I just thought they played bingo and things like that."
Their entire day was documented as they got to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse and experience all the joys of Disney World. The group of feisty seniors even decided to ride Splash Mountain, which was a life-changing moment for one woman.
"I wanted to ride Splash Mountain, which they said I probably couldn’t do, but I did, and I got the picture to prove it," she said. "It feels wonderful. I broke down crying."
As you watch all the seniors enjoy their time at Disney, you can't help but smile. For them, this trip was a dream come true.
