Red, White And Blue Fudge Is The Perfect Fourth of July Dessert

While Independence Day has fireworks and barbecues, my favorite part is the desserts. Each year, I like to sweeten up the holiday with fun and festive new recipes that my friends and family will really love.

Recently, I stumbled across a recipe for tie-dye fudge and was inspired to try this concept using patriotic red, white and blue colors. It's pretty simple to make, but the end result will make it look like you spent hours in the kitchen.

You basically start by making white chocolate fudge and then add red and blue food coloring to the mixture. Then, you pull a knife through layers to make the marbled design. The final product looks so festive.

It really is as much fun to eat as it is to make. This will definitely be one dessert your guests will remember. (Although the red, white and blue fudge bars are perfect for a Fourth of July party, you can whip these up in any color to fit the holiday you're celebrating. You can make black and orange fudge for Halloween, or red and white fudge for Valentine's Day. Get creative and have fun with it.)

Check out the step-by-step tutorial below to see just how easy it is to make.

You can keep as is, or add red, white and blue sprinkles and American flag toppers, like I did.

Although they almost look too pretty to eat, don't be surprised when these are quickly gobbled up at your next shindig.
