This 5-Year-Old Girl Has No Idea That When She Turns Around, Daddy Will Do This…

Eliza O'Neill is an average five-year-old girl. She loves to sing, run, play dress-up, and horse around with her big brother. According to her mom, this beautiful little girl definitely keeps them on their toes!

But one big thing sets Eliza apart: she suffers from a rare terminal disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome Type A.

Sanfilippo Syndrome, though very rare, is found in every country. Babies born with the disease initially appear perfectly healthy; it's not until their preschool years that children begin to show symptoms. And now, Eliza's disease is catching up with her. If she does not receive the treatment she needs, she can expect severe brain damage, loss of speech and mobility, and seizures. Ultimately, if her disease goes untreated, Eliza will die — and no child deserves to face a terminal illness.

However, there is hope! Researchers have discovered a potentially successful gene therapy treatment that could stop the disease in its tracks. When they heard of this miraculous treatment, Eliza's parents wasted no time; they took to the internet to spread awareness and support for all children suffering from this terrible disease.

But in order to take part in this treatment, Eliza had to undergo a nine-month self-isolation to protect her from a special virus. So when she missed a special father-daughter dance, Eliza's daddy did something truly beautiful. He decided to give her her own father-daughter dance in their home.

By the time this video was over, I was crying like a baby!
