Ever since Pinterest came around, I have been obsessed with crafty DIY projects that I can either use in my home or give away as gifts. What’s even more helpful is being able to watch these DIY tutorials on YouTube to make the crafting process even easier.
Using photos already stored in your phone is probably one of the simplest ways to make some of these DIY photo projects possible. In this case, have you ever wondered what to do with some of the old photos you have saved in your phone, or on your computer? Most of the time they either end up on social media or in our photo albums, but there are some great DIY projects like this one, where you can transfer your printed photos onto a coaster, and it only takes a few minutes!
This DIY project in particular is truly a simple and inexpensive way to bring out your inner crafter, and it only requires a few items on your part. What you’ll need is a few printed photos sized down to fit your coasters, a few square tiles, some Mod Podge, a foam brush, and a clear sealant. Nothing else, that’s it!
As you follow the tutorial, will start by painting one layer of Mod Podge onto your tile. From there, position your photo on the tile and begin to add another layer of Mod Podge on top of that photo. Once it’s fully dry, take your clear sealant and spray the tile down in order to make the coasters completely waterproof. After you get done spraying each tile, you will have yourself some neat, homemade coasters to fill your home with!
I absolutely love this idea! It’s a really neat and easy trick that takes treasured photos from your phone and/or computer and gives them new light within your home. I can’t wait to try this!
