Daughters Surprise Their Colorblind Dad With Glasses That Let Him See Color

In a world full of color, can you imagine not being able to see it?

Colorblindness affects approximately one in 12 men (8 percent) and one in 200 women in the world. There are a few forms of colorblindness, where some can see color but cannot differentiate reds, blues, and greens from each other. But even rarer than that are people with a colorblindness that keeps them from seeing any colors at all.

Taylor Baker's father is colorblind. She and her sister felt bad for their dad, as he's only seen in white and black for his whole life. But when Taylor's sister heard of EnChroma glasses, she wanted to get them for their dad. Both girls were skeptical about the glasses working, but wanted to remain hopeful for their dad.

The sisters surprised their father with a letter about the glasses first and then handed over the frames for him to test out. You can see in the video below that he is completely shocked by their instant effect. His emotional reaction is much like this younger gentleman who saw color for the first time since he was a little boy. Both men are absolutely overjoyed to finally see color.

Do you know anyone who is colorblind? Have they ever tried EnChroma glasses before?
