Today is the day! The wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is underway
If you're like me, you've been waiting to see Meghan Markle's dress choice. There has been a ton of speculation about Meghan choosing a heavily beaded gown, but the beautiful bride chose a pure white silk gown with long sleeves and a boat neck that was reportedly designed by Givenchy's Clare Wright Keller.
There were also rumors floating around about Meghan walking herself down the aisle to make a feminist statement, but Prince Charles did the honors.
The happy couple got engaged in November 2017. Since then, they’ve constantly been in the spotlight. Everyone has wanted as much information about royal nuptials as possible – and the day has arrived.
On February 11, 2018, the royal family shared the plan for the big day. Meghan and Harry will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The ceremony was to begin at 12 p.m. UK time, which is 7 a.m. EST.
The couple is to be married by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
At 1 p.m., Meghan and Harry began their carriage procession through the streets of Windsor, where people first caught a glimpse of the newlyweds.
Wedding guests will later arrive at the reception at St. George’s Hall, where they will be joined by Harry and Meghan once they return from their carriage procession.
After a much-needed break, there will be a private evening reception given by Prince Charles.
