In 2019, it's easy to be incredibly jaded about love and romance. But then you come across a freakin' adorable real-life love story like this one, and you have hope all over again.
Twitter user @VirgoVonnie posted a screenshot of a major text that he got from his mom one evening.
"I just kissed [your] dad," she wrote.
No big deal, right? Except that Vonnie's parents have been divorced for seven years. That explains his response, which was "What the h*ll ??????"
However, his mom's reply was just the cutest thing ever.
"It was goooooooood and he smelled mesmerizing," she wrote. "I think I might just go get my man back."
The tweet about his divorced parents gained a lot of attention. Soon, literally thousands of people were cheering on Vonnie's mom through Twitter.
"Get ya man moms!!" one wrote.
"Ok so now you have to give us updates," another said. "Let us know when they get back together."
According to Vonnie's last update, his parents were "texting." Aww!
Twitter user @VirgoVonnie usually posts body-positive content for men. He started the hashtag and website Big Boys Are Cute.
Recently, though, this popular Twitter user went viral for a completely different topic: his divorced mom and dad.
Vonnie's parents have been divorced for years. But one evening, they experienced an unexpected romantic spark, and Vonnie's mom excitedly texted him all about it.
Vonnie posted a screenshot of the conversation to Twitter.
It shows "Mommy" telling her son, "I just kissed ya father lol."
As you can see, Vonnie is very bewildered… but his mother is not phased in the slightest.
That must have been one special kiss. The mom told Vonnie that his dad smelled "mesmerizing" and that she "might just go get my man back."
People were so enthralled by this adorable text that the tweet racked up over 110,000 likes.
In response to all the attention, Vonnie revealed some of his parents' backstory.
His parents met at a club in Miami in 1992. They were married for 19 years. Then they had a "nasty break up," and they didn't speak for several years.
"Just started speaking to each other last year," Vonnie wrote. "She left him btw which is why I was shocked when she sent that."
He also clarified that there was no infidelity involved in their breakup.
The entire internet was happily rooting for Vonnie's mom and dad.
People were particularly supportive of his mom, whose "I might just go get my man back" text is downright inspirational.
Tons of Twitter users replied Vonnie's tweet to hype her up further.
"Get ya mans moms!!" one wrote.
"Yep, time to get yo man momma!" another said.
As one user pointed out, 19 years is a long time. Maybe these two just need to give it another shot!
And plenty of other married couples have gotten back together after some years of divorce, according to some users.
Also, many people pleaded for Vonnie to provide updates if and when his parents successfully get back together.
Heck, just update us on every step along the way, how about that?
"Y'all asking too much questions," Vonnie wrote with a laughing emoji. "Y'all know how black moms feel about their business being out. She's already gonna kill me for uploading this screenshot."
That probably explains why the saga pretty much ended there. But Vonnie did provide one last update on the situation.
Mom and dad were continuing to text! Probably flirting. Or planning their next smooch.
