Disney Fan Builds Stunning Paper Replica Of Rapunzel’s Tower

There's something incredibly nostalgic about Disney movies. I watched plenty of shows and movies as a kid, but none of them have really stuck with me like the Disney classics have.

Every time I hear a song from The Little Mermaid or catch a scene from Aladdin while I'm channel surfing, I can't help but smile and remember dressing up in crazy costumes and pretending I was a princess for a day.

For years, Disney movies have inspired creative people to recreate their favorite moments in different ways. Some people like to get theatrical and act out their favorite scenes. Some talented singers upload incredible videos of themselves singing along to classic tunes. Others even love recreating beautiful, life-size gowns that look like they were pulled straight from the movies!

And now, I've come across one DIY-er's Disney-inspired project, and it is a thing of beauty. She was struck by the detail that was drawn into Rapunzel's tower in the movie Tangled and decided to create one for herself.

This incredibly talented DIY-er was inspired by the castle featured in Disney's Tangled.

She used her quilling skills to recreate the look, and the results are amazing.

She began by creating the walls of the tower. By crumpling up yellow bits of paper, she created a textured stone look.

Next, she began quilling the windows and ledges of the castle by tightly winding up small bits of paper.

She then placed them over her rough drawings and outlines.

The true beauty of this DIY castle is in the tiny details.

She took the time to cut out tiny black door hinges from thin pieces of paper.

She even managed to emulate the look of stained glass windows by quilling different colored paper and placing them tightly together in some of the window panes.

After finishing up with windows and doors, she began quilling the pointy steeples and toppers for the tower.

In order to keep each piece stacked and stable, she rolled thicker pieces of paper to fit the diameter of the tower.

To pull off this cool tiling effect for the tower tops, she used purple and lilac paper strips.

She then crimped them and glued them to the roof.

Last, but certainly not least, she added some vines and leaves.

She created this effect by spiraling long strips of green paper.

Finally, to create an aged effect, she wet the yellow walls of the tower to add a touch of brownish color.

The end result is breathtaking.

She did an incredible job recreating the magic that Disney originally created.
