A lot of the time, especially lately, it can be difficult to see the good in the world. There are so many negative things going on, and so many people who just aren't willing to work toward making this world a better place.
For people with special needs, it can be even more difficult to get by in such an unfriendly place. People aren't always at their best or their most understanding these days.
It can be so sad to see. This social experiment proves just how impatient and unkind strangers can be when speaking to someone with special needs. Their lack of compassion is truly disturbing.
But for every act of cruelty, there's someone out there doing the right thing. And the reward that they're reaping is incredible. You can't believe the happiness that comes with seeing a joy that you spread on someone else's face.
Just look at Sam, the dancing Starbucks barista. Sam is autistic and suffers from a movement disorder that makes it difficult for him to stay still.
Though he was told that he was unemployable, Starbucks store manager Chris Ali hired Sam on the spot, and he became known as the dancing barista. Sam's spirit brings a little bit of joy to all of the customers who stop by throughout the day.
And Not Your Typical Deli in Arizona is pushing this effort even further by actively seeking out employees with special needs. It's so incredible!
