Whenever we hear about reunions in the military community, it's usually between family members.
I've seen so many beautiful videos of fathers coming home from service and surprising their children or surprising their girlfriends and wives. There are even reunion videos between military members and their animals! These family reunions are precious!
But what about the reunions that aren't as publicized? In the military, it is not just family that can be separated due to service. Friends are often separated for months, even years, at a time.
Those who are separated aren't just those who serve. The children of military members can find themselves missing someone they bonded with while stationed in a certain area after moving away.
Two little ones got the surprise of a lifetime recently. After 17 months apart, their mothers sneakily planned their reunion. Eli is waiting with his mom at the airport when she points out his surprise.
Seconds later, his little friend runs over. I honestly couldn't fight back tears when he realizes who it is! You have to see their reunion in the video below. If you don't cry when they first see each other, you will once Eli goes in for a second hug.
