Mom’s lesson number one: always, always say “Thank you.” Hopefully there was some kind of silent “thank you” after this lucky turtle was saved by a friend who came by to help him out. If his friend hadn’t been there, things could have gotten pretty hairy – the only place a turtle is vulnerable to predators is on his stomach, so turning back back over was really a matter of life and death! Thank goodness for friends!
