Widower Watches Never-Before-Seen Video Of His Wife. It Makes Him So Happy, He Dances

Charles and Louise Evans spent 59 years and 11 precious months together. The two were high school sweethearts, and if you take one look at how the widower talks about his wife, you know it was just one of those great loves.

When Louise passed away, Charles wanted to do something to honor her memory, so he turned his house, their house, into a museum about her.

“My wife and I were sweethearts in high school. You can say it was love at first sight. We actually had 59 years and 11 months," he says. “Every Sunday, before or after church, she’d have me take her picture. And that’s how the collection grew — so much memorabilia and pictures and everything.”

When the band MUTEMATH were seeking a subject for their new video for "Monuments," Charles and Louise's story fit the song's sentiment perfectly.

"There's a memory around the corner. There's an angel on our shoulders. To remind us life is far from over. So remember, this is our time," the band sings. "Let's make a monument for our love, our love."

Folks in Starkville, MS, visit Louise's museum, and every time, Charles says it's a treasure to share the best part of his life with others. When Charles watched the music video the band made of his wife, he instantly began to cry.

“I was sitting here crying. All the memories came back to me. Oh, she would have loved it. She’s loving it now. Yeah, she would’ve been a little bashful about it because she’s a bashful kinda lady, but she would have loved it," he told BuzzFeed.
