As kids, our parents provided love, food, shelter — and everything in between — for us. Many of us believe that it's our duty to repay their sacrifices and kindness by doing anything we can to help them, whether it's small actions like washing the dishes or much larger ones, like paying off some bills.
But sometimes, we forget about the sacrifices our grandparents made. Many of us are in the United States as citizens because they decided to immigrate to this country in search of a better life. Other grandparents worked multiple jobs at once to give their kids a better chance of success, which then trickled down to us! They deserve recognition just as much as parents do, don't you think?
One man in Australia found the perfect way to treat and surprise his grandparents, and you can see the moment in this touching clip.
The man found out that his grandparents' car broke down, and that they didn't have the funds to purchase a new one.
So what did he do? Bought them a new one, of course!
He surprises them with boxes stacked inside one another. He provides clues to what the surprise is, which really isn't inside, of course. But he highlights the first letter of the message on each of the three boxes to spell out the car's make and model.
How clever!
His grandparents don't immediately understand, but his grandfather catches on quickly enough. But the moment they both see the vehicle? Absolutely priceless!
