On October 16, 2012, Emma and Lily Creekmore recited poems to their mother Trisha.
Trisha Creekmore had been battling breast cancer and her daughters, knowing that her time was limited, thought it best to say their final goodbyes through heartfelt poetry.
Trisha passed away two days after her daughters said their goodbyes. But with such poignant and heartwarming presentations of her daughters' love and affection, I’m sure she passed with the security of knowing how much she was loved by her two precious daughters.
Her eldest daughter walks up to Mom first and begins reciting a poem by Lorna Wood. Both she and her younger sister demonstrate remarkable poise as they read the emotional words to their mom. It seems they're both far older than their years.
You can tell by the words uttered in the videos and the lasting hugs between this mother and her children, that this moment will never be forgotten for anyone in the room.
This video captures a very personal tribute to a mother who, although might not have been completely cognizant at the time, was still there in the flesh to receive such a heartwarming message by her adoring family.
It was beautiful to have witnessed the bond Trisha and her two daughters share, and I’m so happy they’ll have this moment captured on camera to go back to for the rest of their lives.
