She Transforms 3 Small Buckets Into The Perfect Bathroom Organizer

After moving into a tiny studio apartment in New York City, I quickly learned I had a lot of stuff — and not much space to put it.

In turn, I've become a bit of a DIY-er around my home, coming up with creative and affordable ways to organize and make the most of my storage space.

Recently, I did an overhaul of all my beauty and bathroom supplies and realized I needed extra storage space for a multitude of items — hair products, towels, facial cleansers, soaps, and so much more.

That's when I discovered a cute way to repurpose bucket pails for off-the-counter product storage. Not only does it take less than five minutes to make, it is easy to mount on walls and looks great as bathroom decor.

Whether your bathroom is large or small, this savvy storage idea will help you add space and keep everything within reach. Plus, it just looks super cute and stylish.

When I made mine, I choose to use blue and white colored pails and alternated the colors (two blue, one white). This just fits my bathroom color scheme, but everyone should get creative and use any colors that truly fit their home.

Check out the step-by-step video to see how easy it is to build this useful bathroom beauty organizer and gain extra space to hold all your goodies.

1. Gather your supplies:

— 3 medium bucket pails

— 6 feet of all-purpose clothesline (or rope)

— Scissors

— 1 strong suction cup hook

2. Find the center of the rope. Leave about an 8-inch drop and begin tying a knot around each metal handle until secure.

3. Continue onto the next buckets, tying the rope using the same knot around the metal handles.

Make sure they hang evenly, or adjust the knot until they do.

4. Tie a double knot on the last bucket and cut off the excess rope.

Now it's time to fill it with all your beauty products, hair brushes, hair dryer, and more. It's the perfect way to organize all my things in one place — and add some cute style to my bathroom decor.

Although I used mine in the bathroom, this beauty organizer would also work in your bedroom or anywhere you need some extra storage around your home. You can even rust or age galvanized metal for a rustic finish, if you have a more country-style home. The creative options are truly endless.
