11-Year-Old ‘Goldilocks’ Chops Off Nearly 2 Feet Of Hair In Front Of All Her Classmates

It's amazing to see someone so young determined to make a difference in the lives of others through simple acts of kindness. The fact that they're able to look past their little worlds, something many adults also struggle with, is nothing short of inspirational.

That's definitely how I would describe the brave girl in the clip below! At 11 years old, Harlei Clarke had never trimmed her nearly three-foot-long locks since it took so long for them to begin growing at age 2. She had bangs as an infant, but the rest grew to the knee-length style that earned her the nickname "Goldilocks" from her classmates.

Both she and her mom were understandably reluctant to so much as trim the tresses over the years, but Harlei changed her tune when she realized how many other kids her age could benefit from a wig made from her excess strands.

The charitable nature isn't anything new for the Northampton, England, resident either. Harlei ran her first Race for Life at just 4 years old and has participated in each subsequent race since then. In fact, in just her short amount of time on the planet, she has managed to raise over $1,000 for various charities.

So of course, aside from giving herself a drastic new look and donating to the U.K.'s Little Princess Trust, she also set up an online fund-raiser for the charity as well.

On the big day, stylist Daniel Granger arrived to do the honors in front of Harlei's whole school.

Take a look below to see her transformation.
