Life for Zion Harvey has been extraordinary.
Not only has the adorable little boy persevered through an extremely tough start in life after a disease took both of his hands and his legs below the knees.
Despite these circumstances, Harvey maintained a positive outlook on life and was always thankful for the many blessings he did have — like his mom, Pattie Ray, and the rest of his family.
But last year, everything changed for Harvey when he became the first child ever to undergo a double hand transplant. And he couldn't be happier about all the new activities he can get up to now that he has two wonderful hands.
You can take a closer look at Zion's journey in this video, which documents his life at the time of his surgery.
Now, 13 months after his surgery, Harvey is talking about the best part of having his hands and all of the new things he's been trying since his recovery.
The absolute sweetest part of the entire interview? When Zion says that his favorite part about having hands is being able to give his mom a hug!
He really is too cute — and funny, too! Just wait until he starts talking about his mom's video-recording skills.
Apparently, she gets too excited to hold the camera still — and who could blame her?!
