Couple Is Still Eating Their Wedding Cake 61 Years Later, Even Though It’s Turned Black

61 years of marriage is no small feat, no sir. That's more than twice my lifetime. I can't even imagine spending that much time with someone, let alone being married to that same person for that long!

But these two love birds have truly found their soul mates in each other. After all those years, Ann and Ken Frederick still love each other so very much, and still love to spend time with each other.

Last year, the public got a little taste of the Fredericks on their 60th wedding anniversary. Word got out about their anniversary tradition, and that taste left a strange flavor in some people's mouths.

Each year, these two pull out what's leftover from their wedding cake and have a little slice. Yes, their original, 61-year-old wedding cake.

Where do they keep it? Not in the freezer, not even in the fridge, but in a tin coffee can in the closet.

Neither of them has ever gotten sick from this tradition, but their children aren't too fond of the thought of it.

This relationship is something that we all strive for. The love that these two still share after all of those long years is just as strong as the day that cake was first served.

What do you think about this tradition? Would you ever eat a 61-year-old cake? I'm not sure that I could be convinced, even with a little brandy added to the top.
