I love seeing wild animals in unexpected places. It seems that when they're not your own pets, they're a bit more fascinating to watch.
But, I think my bunny encounters on the beach are far from what you're about to see in this video.
I'd much rather find an elephant to cuddle, or even swim with the animal we're about to watch… if I were sure it wouldn't harm me.
Something I've never heard of, an elephant seal, surprises these men powerboat training in the U.K. And an elephant seal is exactly what you'd think.
When they walk up to their boat and get close to this huge seal, it's shocking that it's even real. His eyes are even comical-looking, just because they're so abnormally large!
And he seems to have no fear, and neither do the men. But watching him back away and realizing the size of his head and body is seriously baffling. I can't imagine seeing a seal that big.
Comparing the man standing in the water to the seal once it's swimming away, I think he could have swallowed him!
But thankfully, this was a very peaceful encounter. Maybe the artist who makes pieces to show animals and humans together can start with an elephant seal for the next one! Have you ever seen an animal like this?
