Mom Is Too Sick To Leave Her Hospital Bed, So Daughter Surprises Her With Ultrasound Reveal

Finding out the gender of your baby is one of the most exciting moments during a pregnancy.

Families will start bets on a baby's gender. These bets can be easily settled nowadays, as many couples have gender reveal parties to share the gender of their baby with their loved ones.

For Taylor Masilotti, the reveal of her baby's gender went a lot differently than most expecting mothers. It was in a hospital, but at her mother's bedside.

Taylor's mother Donna had been battling stage 4 brain and lung cancer for over a year. She was too sick to leave her bed, but Taylor was determined to share this experience with her mother.

A little photo of the ultrasound was not enough for Taylor, she needed the moment to be as special as she could make it for her ailing mother. She brought the entire ultrasound appointment to her mother's bedside.

“Wednesday afternoon was one of my forever favorite memories I got to share with my mom,” Taylor wrote on her Facebook page. “I got to lay next to her, hold her hand and cry happy tears while we found out the gender of the baby.”

Sadly, three days later Donna passed away. But Taylor is remaining positive, as she is happy to know that her mother passed knowing that she would have a granddaughter.

Taylor wrote this on her mother's Facebook page, after deciding to name her little girl Stella:

“Stella's angel, may you rest in peace. Please keep a close eye on this baby girl. We love you more than the blades of grass on this Earth.”
