Anyone who has ever seen Steven Spielberg's 1975 masterpiece Jaws knows that great white sharks are nothing to mess around with.
To be fair, people probably knew this before the film's release, but those horrific shark scenes just drove the point home for beachgoers everywhere.
I can't even watch that movie during the summer without being totally freaked out each time I go into the ocean. It's so scary to think that there are actual Jaws-like creatures just swimming around out there.
But some people have no fear of the damage that sharks can do, or minimal fear to be exact. I doubt there's anyone who has no fear of sharks — they're too unpredictable!
For one dad and his young son, a trip out into the ocean on their boat ended up testing their feelings about massive great white sharks.
And they passed with flying colors — the kid even had to be told not to lean too far over the edge of the boat.
I would've been as far away from the edge as possible, but he wasn't going to let anything get in the way of his view of the shark.
Luckily, Dad pulled out the camera and got some incredible footage of the big creature swimming around their boat.
He was getting up close and personal with them!
