Cozy Wooden Huts Provide Local Senior Citizens With Luxurious Care

Senior citizens and the elderly are some of the most important members of our community.

They helped shape all of our societies, and hold years and years' worth of knowledge, stories, and memories.

With all that they've given to us, the older members of our towns and countries deserve as much care and attention as we're able to give.

Fortunately, there are plenty caring organizations that are helping improve the lives of seniors, like this facility that looks like it was pulled right out of the 1940s.

Another amazing resource for the elderly and disabled is this cluster of five pointy, peculiar huts in Japan called Jikka.

The structures are housing a lot of amazing and useful resources within their walls.

Reaching high into the sky with their pointy wooden roofs, the Jikka structures, located in a small Japanese community, look like something one would see in outer space.

But the peculiar wooden huts are actually serving an important purpose.

Built by Tokyo architect Issei Suma, they serve as a haven for some of community's most imporatnt members: their seniors!

With over 25 percent of their population being 65 or older, senior care is an incredibly important priority within the country.

Fortunately, these cool structures are helping where they can, housing both a chef and social worker, as well as many other cool resources within its walls.

Its kitchen provides a food delivery service for elderly locals who may have difficulty making meals themselves.

There is also medical assistance and nursing care available for visitors in need.

Several bedrooms are also available on site for guests.

Probably one of the most amazing aspects of the cool connected huts is the serene spiral-shaped pool.

Its design isn't only pretty to look at; it's also able to accommodate wheelchair-bound visitors who want to take a swim.

Each of the five huts has a specific purpose and provides plenty of care, storage, and ambiance for all who visit.

Much more than a simple care facility, the Jikka's cool design definitely shows that they hold their elders' health in high regard.
