Rowan Atkinson Bangs On Invisible Drums, Then Discovers A Hidden Talent

There are so many talented comedians out there who know exactly what to say to get us shedding tears of laughter.

However, I have even more respect for those who can crack us up without ever making a peep. Entertainers who master the art of miming are able to manipulate our reality with their hilarious antics, like the "Tape Face Boy" who was able to put a big smile on Simon Cowell's face or the man who managed to make his briefcase seem possessed.

I have a feeling both of those goofy gentlemen found inspiration in the man from the clip below: British comedic icon, Rowan Atkinson.

Atkinson is more well known by his infamously unlucky alter ego, Mr. Bean, but he initially rose to fame across the pond portraying several characters in the historical comedy, The Black Adder. Soon, he was given his own live stand-up special to show off all his skills.

In this moment, he combines miming with music for a flawless "invisible drum" routine. Appearing at first as a janitor sweeping up the stage, Atkinson is soon startled by the sound of drum sticks clacking together on the ground without any actually appearing to be there.

I can't imagine how much planning and practice had to go into this incredible sketch! One wrong move and he would have ruined the whole ruse.

Take a look to see him get the hang of things and rock out like a pro.
