Couples spend many weeks and months planning a wedding. They pour their heart and soul into every detail. So the day of the big event, they expect everything to go smoothly, more or less.
The last thing they need is an accident occurring, or anything unplanned, for that matter.
So when Angelique Dunning's limo broke down with her and her bridal party inside, the group was left stranded on the side of the road, with no way to get to the wedding.
She and her fiance had been together for 11 years — there was no way she was going to miss her own wedding.
So she was left with no choice: She lifted up her hand, trying to hitch a ride!
That's when a total stranger stopped his car and she saw a man was in the driver's seat. He turned out to be a father of four, and kindly offered to get the whole bridal party safely to their destination.
Angelique got there in time to say her vows, and just in time, too. Her partner had just started worrying that she may have decided to leave him at the altar.
The couple invited the man to stay for the wedding, but he politely refused, saying that he needed to go home to be with his children.
