Son Overhears Mom’s Call About Money. Then He Brings Her His Piggy Bank And A Note With Her Name

There's nothing more rewarding than looking at your child and realizing that you've done a good job.

Standing in front of you is a genuinely good person who cares about the well-being of others and is willing to sacrifice to help those in need.

While these qualities usually develop over time, there are moments when even young children can open their eyes and truly see the world around them for what it is; a place where everyone needs some help.

For 6-year-old Parker, his mother Shelby's efforts to support those living with polycystic ovary syndrome is something that hasn't gone unnoticed by him.

So when he overheard her talking on the phone about how close she was to reaching her fundraising goal, Parker stepped in.

The little boy quietly emptied his piggy bank onto the counter and left a note with just the word 'mommy' on it.

When Shelby asked Parker about it, he explained that, although he was saving up for a Spider-Man toy, he thought that the 'pretty ladies' needed it more.

What a sweet boy!

Recently, Shelby found Parker's piggy bank emptied of all $2.50 on the counter. Next to it was simply a note that read 'mommy'.

When Parker got home from school, he explained that, although he'd been saving his money for a new Spider-Man toy, he thought the 'pretty ladies' needed it more than him. Shelby told the whole story in an Instagram post, noting how proud she was of Parker for his generosity — and who could blame her?
