Howdy, y'all. Thanks for agreeing to take this test that tries to guess where in America you're from.
Now, based on my usage of the word "y'all," you're probably going to guess that I'm from somewhere in the South, whereas if I'd said, "Hey, yous guys!" it's safe to assume that I hail from somewhere in the Northeast.
Inspired by the Harvard Dialect Survey which surveyed over 350,000 Americans, we built this fun test to see if we can guess (approximately) where in America you're from. Not only do we use the way you speak as a clue, but this test will also ask you some questions about your environment to see if we can pinpoint either where you're originally from or where you live now.
