As we're all trudging through those hot and muggy summer months, it's hard enough dealing with the humidity, let alone the massive amounts of annoying insects that seem intent on sucking out all of your blood this season.

While bug spray is definitely one way to deal with this problem, it is certainly a good idea to cover all of your bases and come up with a few extra "backup" ideas just to make sure you won't feel that familiar sting.

There are definitely a lot of natural ways to scare the mosquitos away, and after looking through this simple "do it yourself" project, all we can say is we're doing this tonight!

Collect some birch bark. Peel off strips from a dead tree, but don't use a live tree as this can damage it. Once you have that you'll be ready to begin!
