NFL player Russell Wilson and singer Ciara have been pretty open about their relationship. However, they're doing things a bit different than other famous folks, than even most regular couples.
Wilson and Ciara have made the choice to practice abstinence until they're married.
Though it is more uncommon to wait until marriage these days, Maggie and Andrew didn't even kiss until the day of their wedding.
In this interview with The Rock Church, Wilson discussed the controversial decision they made together.
“God spoke to me and said ‘I need you to lead her.’ And I was like, ‘Really? Right now?’ And he goes, ‘No, I want you and need you to lead her,’ ” Wilson said.
While Wilson has admitted that in the past he was a "bad kid," he has said that finding God is what reformed him. He admitted that the journey wouldn't be easy but that God put them in each other's lives to bless each other.
"We're not going to be perfect. Life’s not perfect, nobody’s perfect. But He’s anointed both of us," he said.
It was Wilson's idea but Ciara agreed that it was a good way to move forward.
"Could we love each other without that. If you can love somebody without that. Then you can really love somebody," he says.
