Colorblind Man Gets Emotional When He Sees Colors For The First Time

Those of us who aren't colorblind often take for granted our ability to fully witness a beautiful sunset or a field of green grass. It's a free luxury that about 300 million people in the world have trouble experiencing.

Colorblindness, which affects about 8 percent of men and less than 1 percent of women, is described as "a deficiency in the way you see color." This means that these people have trouble recognizing various colors, like blue and yellow or red and green.

While there's no cure for it, EnChroma glasses give these people the opportunity to see the colors they normally can't.

The video below shows the moment actor/writer Ethan Zachery Scott put on his first pair of EnChroma glasses. At first, he had no idea the power these glasses had. But, it didn't take him long to realize.

For Scott, the color green sometimes appears brown or yellow while the color pink looks silver or blue. With the glasses, he was able to see all these colors as they are.

His emotional reaction proves how incredible the moment was for him. Just look at the way he reacts when he sees the color purple at the 1:57 mark and wait till he goes outside at 3:34!

“I was honestly just shaking and couldn’t comprehend what I was seeing,” he said.
