If you’re planning to sleep tonight, don’t watch this spooky video!
Filmed at the famously haunted Gwalior Fort in central India, this initially appears to be simple footage of a few boys playing and cooling off in the fort’s pond. The camera stays trained on the boys for several minutes while slow, eerie music plays in the background.
Gwalior Fort is an 8th-century fortified palace in Madya Pradesh. It has passed through many different hands in its 1300-odd years and has been the site of untold battles and conquests. It only makes sense that a few spirits would have latched onto the place, much like the specters haunting Disneyland.
Added to the natural mystery of an ancient, abandoned fort is the persistent rumor that there are secret chambers underneath Gwalior filled with buried treasure that may or may not curse whoever uncovers it. While there’s no proof of any of this, the tantalizing mysteries surrounding the fort do make you wonder, especially after you watch this video.
The first few minutes of innocent splashing continue for long enough that you start to worry that you’re missing something, when all of a sudden something flashes across the scene — make sure you're looking at the stone dock at 1:00.
